The I.T.C. 1979 Plane Crash

The leaders of Inuit land claim group Inuit Tapirist of Canada were flying from a meeting in Pond Inlet to Iqaluit when the plane ran out of fuel and crash-landed 20 minutes north of Iqaluit in November 1979. They were rescued by helicopter the following day.
